Terms of service
Last updated: July 1, 2026
1. The service
DTAX provides online bookkeeping, invoicing, tax-estimation and AI-analysis software, plus a marketplace connecting clients with independent verified professionals. The software supports your financial administration; it does not itself provide accounting, tax or legal advice.
2. Your account
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential and notify us of any unauthorised use. Accounts are for businesses and professionals; you confirm you are acting in a professional capacity.
3. Subscriptions and billing
Plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Trials are free and require no payment method. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.
4. Your data
Your bookkeeping data belongs to you. You can export it at any time. We retain accounting records according to Luxembourg legal retention requirements (up to 10 years) unless you instruct deletion after the legal period.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use the service for unlawful purposes, attempt to breach its security, or resell access without written agreement. We may suspend accounts that endanger the platform or other users.
6. AI features
AI outputs are estimates and analysis based on your data. They carry confidence indicators and can be wrong. They are not professional advice and never replace review by a qualified professional. Decisions taken on AI output are your responsibility.
7. Liability
The service is provided with reasonable skill and care. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may terminate for material breach with notice. After termination you can export your data during a 30-day grace period.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Luxembourg law. Disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Luxembourg City.
